while since i logged, havent really done much lifting at all as ive had 2 half sleeves done which have costed more and taken more time than i expected to heal etc.

got 1 session left on each arm which hopfully should do it then back to training.

BW around 103-105kgs but cut alot of sugar out of my diet so looking leaner.

As i am away on holiday for Kents strongest Man i am aiming to get ready for suffolks instead and dust off some of my kit at home.

here goes!!!

i tore my groin squating 4 weeks ago, i can do certian things but others i cant. like deadlift squat and push press. i am using the gym machines more. i think it will take another 3-4 weeks before i am fully recovered. shame as the British BJJ open is in 2 weeks.

kirkynick said:It's going well, lots of sparring. May try and get some private classes in submission wrestling to develop my subs a bit more.

nice, i havent done any striking for ages. i was really enjoying my grappling / bjj before i tore my groin. the instuctor here films all the privates which is good, maybe try that it helps so much in improving your ground game.

slowly improving with the injury, did some light bjj monday and shoulders at lunch, hit a 95x1 strict and a set of 80x5. trained chest today, did 130x1 and 120x3 on the bench and on the incline 100x2. a bit on the treadmill and bike nothing special.

tomorrow hoping to work back on some machines, been working the core and stretching most nights hoping it improves and i can work a bit more seriously next week.

kirkynick said:How was the UFC? I can never be bothered to go to big sporting events as I feel I will see nothing.

Doing Combat Sambo 3 x per week and loving it. Would love to add some more ground work in at some point, but three sessions a week is enough for now energy wise.

I had the same problem as you with regard to sleep. What helped me was going to bed at a set time, stretching / relaxation before bed, reading a book (not on the net), not using computer or watching telly before bed, forcing myself to sleep even if i didn't want to.

thanks Nick, i will use your advice.

the UFC was good, lots of beer during the day but it was a sell out and the place was electric. seen both UFC events at Londons O2 now and would recommend seeing it there.

combat Sambo is no joke, i train with an Eastern European guy, who used to train it, man they love there leg locks.
