For the record Bench - raw 100x3 100x3 120x3 140x3 - Shoulder feels numb 3 board Shirt on 180x1 - Painful 180x1 - Ouch 180x1 180x1 190x1 - Best of the lot and almost pain free. I don't think this old bod can take two heavy bench sessions per week. I need to revamp my statagey for the masters. | ||

Numerous hot spots found in the shoulders and lower back. Feeling considerably looser now and it hasn't cost me the usual £25 with a physical therapist either! | ||

To cap it all some clueless roid head has broken the power rack so that even pin presses are out of the question. Decline press - Raw 60x3 60x3 60x3 100x3 140x1 140x5 150x1 150x2 160x1 160x1 170x - Use your head Bob Jacks only 13 you could be in trouble leave it 160x1 160x1 What can I say other than how the fcuk can you train for a competition without competent training partners. On the plus side I can confidently say that my youngest will make a very, very good strongman if he keeps up his current rate of progress. He's a very determined young man and makes his dad feel really proud. | ||

How can you fail with a weight 70 kg below your personal best? Seriously need to reevaluate my training strategy. | ||

Try to keep a cheerful approach to it all, it's hard when nowt's going right, but try. It is all in your head. You've done it all a million times, you know exactly how it is done, you just can't do it. Be strong and be positive, you are better than you think. | ||

I need to seek the advise of some wise sages regarding the ways of this shirt! | ||

Shirt on (with the aid of young Jack) 200x6 - shirt still gives you something even when the range of motion is very limited. Decided to increase the range of motion to the equvialent of a 3 board. 180x? - Can't get in the power posistion. Bar moving to near my belly according to Jack. 180x5 - Bingo the sweet spot on this shirt is very high about an inch above the nipple region. I'm pressing like a bodybuilder with the elbows quite flared and straightup but who cares the dammed bar is going up and quite easily. Hurah, A good session at last. | ||

The katanna has been binned for the moment in favour of the rage X . If anyone fancies swapping a 48/50 A/S for my 50 S/S then please let me know. Makes a hell of a difference to my disposistion and general demenor. Squats - Raw to kick off 60x5 60x5 60x5 100x3 140x3 140x3 Kit on - 180x3 - shoes, half suit 220x1 - Knee wraps + full suit 240x1 - Knee wraps + full suit and convincingly deep 250x1 - Knee wraps + full suit and well in again. 260x1 - Knee wraps + full suit + belt and another good lift. That's as heavy as it's going to get before the comp. I don't want to make the mistake of leaving it all in the gym. | ||
