Member 735, 1193 posts SQ 220, BP 135, DL 235590.0 kgs @ 80kgs UnEq | had to do a spin class at work as part of a team building exercise - not the best prep if goibg to be squatting a few hours afterwards! clean and jerks bar x 5 60kg x 3 +1 70kg x 1 + 1 80kg x 1 + 1 95kg x 1 + 1 - power cleaned 102.5kg x f - just not moving 85kg x 3 squats 60kg x 5 100kg x 3 120kg x 1 140kg x 1 160kg x 1 - belt on 170kg x 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 10 - great last set clean and jerks 60kg x 1+1 70kg x 1 + 1 80kg x 1 + 1 90kg x 1 + 1 85kg x 3 + 1 pull ups bw x 10 despite tired legs squats went well and was feeling great on last set decided to do pull ups every day. will s tart with ten and add a rep each week. hoping to get to the point where at the end of the year 40 + reps are common place | ||

Member 735, 1193 posts SQ 220, BP 135, DL 235590.0 kgs @ 80kgs UnEq | today bench press 60kg x 5 80kg x 3 100kg x 3 110kg x 1 120kg x 6 - pb for paused comp presses. had someone in the gym spotting me and lost a lot of tension having to bark to lrave the bar alone on last two reps front squats 60kg x 5 80kg x 3 100kg x 3 120kg x 1 140kg x 1 150kg x 4 - wanted eight. first rep felt a ton. got easier as it went on but fourth rep hit the supports and took it out of me to keep hold of the bar. PB still low bar squats 100kg x 3 140kg x 3, 3 - just greasing the groove pull ups bw x 12 medicine ball sit ups + 10kg x 12, 12 not fully recovered from cold but on the up and happy with today | ||

Member 735, 1193 posts SQ 220, BP 135, DL 235590.0 kgs @ 80kgs UnEq | FFS worse session in a long time! deadlifts 60kg x 5 100kg x 3 140kg x 3 160kg x 1 180kg x 1 hook grip and beltless 200kg x 1 belt on alternate grip 220kg x 4 - pb but wanted six. fifth rep got to mid shins and died overhead press 40kg x 3 60kg x 1 70kg x 1 75kg x 1 82.5kg x 1 - utter crap low bar squats 60kg x 5 80kg x 3 100kg x 3 120kg x 1 140kg x 1 165kg x 5 - just felt off 185kg x 3 - better than last set but slow and disjointed 205kg x nothing. walked it out, broke at the knee and decided against it. how can 200kg x 5 go three weeks ago and now 5kg extra felt like and extra two plates. pull ups bw x 12 a lot of reasons why I might be under performing * head cold still *lack of sleep recently *bodyweight dropping - near enough comp weight * PBs on front squats and deads taking it out of me on reflection though I think the true reason is I am being bloody pussy and need to get my head together! monday one exercise only, single reps up to my opener. Member 735, 1193 posts SQ 220, BP 135, DL 235590.0 kgs @ 80kgs UnEq | well I said sod it and went in to train low bar squats 60kg x 5 80kg x 5 100kg x 3 120kg x 3 140kg x 1 - belt on 160kg x 1 170kg x 1 180kg x 1 190kg x 1 200kg x 1, 1 slower than I would want but weight felt light on the back. laat set I qas border line on depth. did another set just to make sure stretched loads before squatting and felt better. by Saturday my legs should feel fresh as not doing anything now until then. just need to drop that final pound or so to be comfortably inside weight class | ||
