I'll try it mate, thanks. I've been trying powerball and stuff to get some blood into that area.

I'd love to do a bit of strongman this year - i'll just have to see how my back holds up mate. Bit of a dull ache in the right SI today, nothing serious i hope. I'll just lay off squats and deads for a week to let it heal up.

you do a lot of grip work, Sam, back when I was interested in this sort of thing I read that you need to train your hands both ways, i.e flexion and opposite.
IronMind has some interested rubber bands to strength then opening of your hand instead of clenching/gripping/crushing all the time, maybe worth a try?

il save u a place in the h4h inter/opens sam your heal up fine just leave the squat rack alone for a few days

Thanks mate. Yep i do rubber band extensions all the time, just using 2 thick bands. I bought the ironmind ones once and could do 50 reps with the red band on each hand. My plan is to start chucking some heavy reverse wrist curls into my routine aswell to try and sort this out.

truck pull- army landrover with trailer with 1ton of weight in it
"hold for heroes" farmers hold for time 140kgs
over head medley log 100kgs x3 reps 110kgs x2 and 70kg db x1 on each arm all rep are floor to over head and head to head
yoke 360kgs over 20m for time
Husafell Stone for distance weight tbc
atlas stones 5 stones 110kg, 120kg, 135kg, 155kg & 175kg for time

Looks ok Will, overhead especially. First events play will be on Sunday morning.

I'll wear a thin belt (the maximuscle one) on the stones all the time to support my back so the leaning back thing isn't as much of an issue. I'm gonna go easy for the first couple of weeks on them, just work on doing a few light runs and then start smashing it.

I'll also need to practice farmers deadlifts to ensure i'll get 140s off the floor. I suspect if i can lift them i will hold them for a fair while LOL!

I did 150kg the other week mate i dont think you will have much of a problem mate at i think you could be a favourite to win that event

your bw is in your favour for the pull. hussofel stone should be ok for you as will the yoke
Will and the boys will sort your stone's out

if you stay injury free i can you doing some damage in this comp

Cheers Strangey. I am working my deads hard from this week onwards to that farmers pick up isn't an issue! And having my first play with the stones this weekend.

Good one tonight. SI/glute sore in the morning but eased off throughout the day. Rob and Will were deadlifting so it would have been rude to not join in.
