The plan is to run 5x5 up to 200kg then cut to 5x3 then 5x1... Hoping to hit 240kg in the gym before xmas. I may attempt 230+ before my 5x5 sets and if needs be finish the lift with a spotter just to get used to heavy weights. Lowering the bar to the chest is the hard part for me and this idea will help that too.

I'll most certainly get a vid of the 170 strict when I try it.

But a slingshot is a great investment to get used to handleing heavy weights

Came off the chest a bit after a long pause, not overly close though. 240 feels like a ton in the hands. Good for around 230 at the moment I suspect.

where can I find the Spoto routine?

Hard to say. I am not great at grinding lifts out so it either flies up or goes nowhere. 240 left the chest but was never goimg a lot further. With a deload and a thinner competition style bar it would of course be a lot closer.
