No real reason why. I've now deadlifted and done some form of squats 6 times in 13 days. I feel better when I train them both more frequently. Would normally do some back work after, but couldn't be bothered. | ||

Front squats 60x3 80x3 100x1-long pause 120x1-easy 130xFail. Lower back and abs are still toast from Friday. This will go this week! Deadlifts 100x3 140x3 180x1 200x1 Shut it down there, lower back was cramping up Barbell Rows 100x5 120x5 140x5-PB- That'll do pig! Barbell Upright Rows 6sets of no one cares DB Hammer Curls 3 sets of a few Nothing major, the bb rows are on this week's list of goals so that's a nice way to start the training week. DB hammer curls, seem to make my elbows feel less like crap, so that's a winner! Now to eat and sleep! | ||

There is only one bench I like in the gym, it's a little wider and way more stable than the others, which wobble with just bodyweight on them. However it was in use, so had to use the s**t bench Paused close grip 80x5 90x5 100x3 110x2 115x2 120x3 -strength shop slingshot thingy on- 130x1 150x1-flew up, slowed right near lock out 170xfail- stalled about 2-3inch from lock out, wobbled a bit and just didn't move! DB Incline 30x10 36x8 40x6 44x6 I never bother with dumbbell pressing work, so I was happy with this. DB lat raises s/s with db standing press 22x10/10 24x8/8 22x6/- Annnnnndddd done! | ||

Sledge Hammer 5sets of 10 swings per side Training on gravel is making balancing for the press more difficult than it should possibly be, but it can only help in time surely? | ||

I enjoyed the longer length pauses, I'll stick with those for a while. Pushing food intake up a fair amount. Making a point of foam rolling every day. | ||

Paused Front Squat 60x5 80x3 100x2 110x1 115x1-more there, definitely Deadlifts 100x5 140x3 180x1 205x3-PB- More there next time 185x8-PB- More there next time Finally getting used to dead stop reps rather than touch and go. Deadlifts are feeling more natural now. By this point, my lower back was cramping like crazy, I never really get lower back cramp off any lift. Barbell Rows 100x5 120x5 140x5 160x2-PB Felt good for a set of 5 on 160 but my lower back was making it hard to hold the position Wide Grip Dead Hang Pull Ups 10x5 15x5 20x5 Aaaaannnnnnnddddddd DONE! | ||

I think I will front squat again tomorrow and some kind of pull variation? Who knows, could be talking crap, be a drunken bum and puke on the dog! | ||

I ended up going out last night, getting smashed, and rolling into work still slightly pissed.... I'm such a dick head! Hung over training sucks, all dehydrated and s**t, plus I eat f**k all when I'm hungover. Front Squats 60x3 80x3 100x2 110x1 120x1-comfortable, staying in a better position with these now. Think they are finally clicking! Deadlift 100x3 140x1 180x1 210x2-PB?-weight shifted onto my toes, I blame pulling in skate shoes, I'll get 3 with more weight next time! 190x5-PB?-straps slipped or would have pulled more reps Hanging out of my hoop by this point so called it. My right spinal erector has been painful all day, as have my traps. s**t session but I'll make up for it asap! | ||

Finally come up with some sort of plan, though it will be more solid after the Santa week is over. Close Grip Bench 3sec Pause 60x5 80x5 100x3 115x3 125x1 -Fake Slingshot- 130x1 135x1 140x1 -Fake Slingshot off/Feet Up/Touch and Go- 100x8-PB 105x3-5sec pauses Bench felt all wrong tonight, uncoordinated, couldn't get tight and I kept relaxing at the bottom of the lift. Decline Wide Grip 60x10 80x10 100x8 120x Unracked it and heard a noise like a gun shot and felt instant pain in my right hip flexor, I instinctively went to go grab my hip and bumped the bar into it trying to do so. DB Lat Raises 3sets Done. Hip isn't feeling too clever, it's already swollen, changing colour and has limited ROM. C*NT! | ||

Gym is now open limited hours over the next 4 days. Hip is still swolen, slightly bruised and painful. Hoping to start getting back into a higher frequency. Front squats 60x3-hip was already playing up 80x3 100x1 110x3setsx1rep-practising position, all with a brief pause Hip was pretty painful at this point so wasn't expecting much. Deadlifts 100x3 140x3 180x1 200x1 215x2-PB-harder than it should have been due to hip -deficit in, bar touching top of feet- 160x3-easy, hip barely hanging in though 170x1-fast and easy, game over for hip today though Cat Back Barbell Rows (Think this is what they are called?) 80x8 100x2setsx5reps 110x5 All sets easy and really like the feel of these. Pull Ups x14 x10 x8 And done! Hip is not relenting now. Some form of shoulder press tomorrow. | ||
