I'm a few KG heavier nowadays and looking for a new deadlift suit. I'm after some advice from the more experienced equipped lifters:

My old Titan velocity seemed to do the job, but I've no idea how it compares to other brands. What do other people use?

I can't remember what I paid for my suit, is £145 (on pullums sport) the going rate?

My old suit was a 44, given I'm 10KG heavier would 48 seem about right?

Get a Metal King Pro with adjustable straps. You can start off with them loose and then really crank them tighter the more you use it.

T-rex was awesome - a double ply trx with adjustable straps. Got about 30kg on my sumo reads with it, maybe 10 on my conv.

Currently in a metal pro squatter.

Have you gained 4 inches on your hips? What did you base the 44 sizing on?

I deadlifted in a Centurion for a few years and loved it.

The King Pro is a different ball game altogether though.

Edit: I deadlifted in it, I meant to say.

I find the Metal fabric is very unforgiving, making reps in it hard, although granted I didn't have adjustable straps. Inzer Max DL was much better for me, slightly more forgiving so probably not so good for a powerlifting kit whore 1RM but for strongman I found it much better.

I agree, great for maxing, not so great for repping.

You can loosen the straps though for repping to get the best of both worlds.

Thanks for all the replies guys.

It sounds like everyone uses something different, I'll have a look at the Inzer max DL and Metal King pro. I quite like the idea of adjustable straps.

I mithered Terry on facebook about this, I have a metal king pro but I was struggling to get down to the bar with straps reasonably tight.

Aside from the advice he gave me, he said for a conventional puller Metal deadlift suits are by far the best.
