So i've just been thinking i NEVER eat sandwiches but they're so quick and taste good so i want to start consuming vast quantities of them.

What are some ideas for good protein yet fairly cheap fillings?

So far i have cheese if i buy a huge block; eggs; tuna.

Ham sounds good, going to Asda now to check how much it is.

Buy 3 chicks for 10 pounds.

Freeze 2.

Slow Cook a whole chicken and smash it down. Shold provide enough meat for 3 days and is good value.

This is how I operate. I have adopted frugal living.

Toasted cheese and ham is always a winner.

Always ?

Cheese is the world's vilest food.

Eggs are fine but should NEVER be put on a sandwich.

I constantly find it difficult to believe the calm acceptance of the general public of eggs on bread. It is quite the most horrible clash of textures imagineable.

Or maybe it's just me.

I'm sure I said 'cheap' somewhere in the original post Grin

And Pete egg sandwiches are wonderful!

Boiled eggs, egg mayo, fried eggs, cheesy omelettes! All beautiful on bread.
