I've started to get sore biceps when I'm pressing- feels like they're pumped or strained or similar- any one else get this?

What causes it and what'll stop it?

Possibly the onset of some tendonitis issues.

I've had it extensively from low bar squatting and over working the biceps. I would say stop whatever hurts and come back to it in a while.

I've been low bar squatting a fair bit recently, it's caused a bit of elbow pain, but the biceps a new thing.

Any pro-active things I could be doing if it is the onset of Tendonitis?

I do bicep pre-hab twice a week. 3 sets of 20 reps on db curls with 10kg. Then 2 sets of 15 reps of cross body hammer curls. Then every now and again an empty barbell for one ultra high rep set.

Same for tris to ensure both sets of tendons are getting good recovery work.

Also if you can bare it, run you thumb up and down your bicep and forearm focusing on the tendons as this will break up the build up of scar tissue from training. I find it held me

Something else that works is the tenis elbow straps wrapped on the upper part of your bicep. I struggled with this pain for years and now it's gone since using these straps.
Just get one that is more a soft strap rather than something hard.

I had some trouble with this earlier in the year, it got to the point I wouldn't press my warmups, or rather I couldn't lower them properly, it was the lowering phase that hurt most for me. I got some friction work done, started taking cissus and started doing some more bicep prehab work. Cleared it all up

if you don't already, get elbow sleeves. I had the same issue and it went away as soon as I got some sleeves

bin having the same problem really hurts to bring bar down from lockout and to flick axle from belly to neck thought it was just strained but felt really tight today went and saw my therapist and she rekons i partialy tore it and now loads of scar tissue needs breaking down glad i no bin leaving it for ages thinking it will go away dumb ass strongman lolHappy

i had similiar problems to you all earlier in the year was absolute agony to do any pressing or curling motions. i had tendinitis in the bicep but the cause was tight shouders and and chest musles forcing my bicep ttendon o stretch while squatting.

I used to get that last summer. It's mainly on the eccentric, isn't it?

What fixed it was doing biceps curls.
