Still doing the standing incline bench thing. Angry

* Press+push-press+push-jerk+split-jerk complex at 67.5, 5 sets on the minute. Failed the press on the 5th round. Split-jerks were mediocre.

* Abzz: Saxon bends @25kg, hanging leg raises, windmills @20kg KB, GHD situps

Taught a beginners strongman class on Saturday. What is this world coming to?

Today:

Farmer's up to 115kg x12m, x3

Beltless squat unrack+hold, 250kg x20s, 30s, 30s, 30s. Felt rather unsquattable, to say the least.

Stopped when I felt my form was getting worse, but didn't feel quite in the groove on any of the reps today. My knees definitely bounce forward at the bottom. Depth was sufficient throughout but felt "high".

The pauses were on the short side, so I made sure the last one on the last set was nice and long. Still no chance of fitting in a limerick, even while wearing a vest. Wink

Done cold, no warmup whatsoever other than some arm circles. Just showing the boys at the gym how it's done. Wink Only 0.1s off my PB.

They were. They pulled some nice sub-16s times themselves, but they'll do better if they smoothen out their stroke (and avoid falling off the seat half the time).

According to the monitor I averaged 59spm, so a grand total of 14 strokes.

By the way, a tip of the hat for your recent gainz on all manners of distances. Will you be carrying on until next season and do a few races?

so long as my wonky bits wonk no more I aim to carry on and do a race or 2 would prefer under 175cm than under 75kg though!

Yeah, the weight classes don't suit everyone. Wink There's talk of adding a "middleweight" category but I don't see it happening.
