Just overhead at the mo, as I don't have a bench (yet). Once I have a bench, I had originally planned on doing it on the same day, but thinking to do it in on of the other two sessions now.

I'd give it its own day really. Can always stick it on deadlift or squat day. I guess the problem is getting a spotter if you train alone at home though

Took MyProtein caffine pill after breakfast at 8am, trained from 9:30 - 11:15, its 12 noon now and it still hasn't kicked in yet..

Bench:

55 kg x 8
70 kg x 5
82.5 kg x 5
97.5 kg x 5

110 kg x 3. Didnt attempt 4th, time to deload Unhappy
105 kg x 4 fail 5

Not sure what happened here, drop to 100 next time unfortunately

Deadlift:

Plan was to do 220 x 5, but felt weak on warm ups, so decided to max instead, as I knew I had a PB in me. Used thinner bar for deads today

70 kg x 5
100 kg x 5
140 kg x 5
180 kg x 3 belt
220 kg x 1 straps

240 kg x 1 PB

Pretty sure it came without a hitch, it was all a blur of screaming and shouting!

Pull ups:

BW x 8,8,8,6,6,6,6,2 (50 reps)

Facepulls:

3 sets

Preacher curl:

20 kg DB, 8,8,7

Events at Strength Tec:

75 kg x 3 (1 clean)
85 kg x 2

95 kg x 1 PB
100 kg x fail

75 kg x 3
80 kg x 2

Got a fair bit of leg drive into 100, pressed it up with the tri's, but had no energy to finish it. Kind of disappointing but 95 is a PB so shouldn't be sniffed at.

Dumbbell:

53 kg x loads of fails, and eventually success Happy

60 kg x complete fail

2 inch axle deadlifts:

75 kg x 2
115 kg x 4
115 kg x 4
115 kg x 4
135 kg x fail (about 2 inches off ground)

Nice session bud, and nice log PB. So, as I've never done it, what makes an axle deadlift more difficult? Was it grip failure that was the problem?

Yes it was double overhand (no straps) purely for a bit of grip training. The axle is thicker than a normal bar, so its much harder to grip the bigger weights doh!

Close Grip Bench Press:

55 kg x 5
70 kg x 5
85 kg x 5 Started feeling heavy at this point
90 kg x 5
90 kg x 5
95 kg x 5

100 kg x 5 Default PB

Decided to swap bench for close grip bench to build some tricep strength to help with a more respectable overhead.

Squats:

60 kg x 5
90 kg x 5
120 kg x 5
142.5 kg x 5

165 kg x 5 PB
175 kg x 1 =PB
180 kg x 1 PB

180 didn't even feel like a true 1RM, last time a max squat was this easy I was on 140! That said 185 kg wouldn't have been a certainty, so left it there.

Pull ups:

BW x 8,8,8,8,8,7,3 (50 reps)

Good

Planks supersetted with leg raises:

50 sec plank, 20 leg raises
40 sec plank, 21 leg raises, felt like dying, not used to working my core!
