Strict Press (pause between reps):

40 kg x 5
52.5 kg x 5
65 kg x 5

85 kg x 2 fail 3 PB
85 kg x 2
85 kg x 2

Plan was for three triples, but had to be 3 doubles!

Push Press:

60 kg x 3
80 kg x 3
90 kg x 3

102.5 kg x 1 fail 2

First rep on 102.5 went up fastest its ever been on this weight, but second was complete fail, 3rd didn't want to happen either. Annoying when I've done 3 on 102.5 before!

Deadlift:

60 kg x 5
100 kg x 5
140 kg x 5
180 kg x 5 add belt and chalk still doh
200 kg x 1 mixed grip

220 kg x 4 = PB with straps

Felt easy after 3 reps, 4th was a bit of a struggle though, didn't attempt 5th

180 kg x hold for 20 seconds doh
200 kg x hold for 5 seconds doh

Jerks:

60 kg x loads
70 kg x few
80 kg x 2, more of a push press at this point

Seated pin press with back support:

Forehead level:

50 kg x 5
80 kg x 4

2 inches from lockout (more for fun than anything else)

80 kg x 5
100 kg x 5
110 kg x 5
120 kg x 4

Long session, no time for pullups!

Thanks guys. Yeah my workouts are getting pretty long ( 2 hours 15 today). I feel I ought to cut something out of my overhead & deadlift session but I don't know what.

Strict press is a necessity, its good to do push press until I can jerk a decent weight. Pin press is optional I guess, but I think it will be useful. Deadlift is a necessity too, don't want to stick it onwednesday or monday because that's day before /after squats which might cause it to suffer.

Nice deadlifting and pressing bud. Agreed though, session of epic proportions.

Perhaps alternate the pushies and the jerks, and just work your weakness on your overhead. i.e. what did you fail on with you strict and pushies? Lockout or out of the blocks? The former do lockouts, the latter do Savickas press.

You could do some grip work on another day too, rather than in this session. Maybe.

Don't think it's good to alternate push press and jerks. Might be an idea to do jerks on a rest day though as they aren't (too) taxing.

Yeah it's my lockout I'm weak on really, might be an idea to just to lockout only hmm..

Pull ups:

BW x 8,8,8,8,8,3 (50 reps)

Should have warmed up on the assistance machine in hindsight, lats didn't like doing this cold.

EZ Bar curls:

+20 kg x 8
+25 kg x 8
+27.5 kg x 7 , into drop set +20 kg x 5

30 minutes in the pool after

After looking at the video it seems I need to bring my grip in slightly

Squat:

Misloaded the bar by 10 kg like a t**t

167.5 kg x 4 PB Reckon I would have got 5 if it hadn't been for the earlier set!



120 kg x 10

DB Incline bench:

20 kg x 8
37.5 kg x 8
42.5 kg x 5 PB
42.5 kg x 5

Was pleased to do the 42.5's Happy (Gym doesn't have 2 40's)

Cardio complex with 32.5 kg, then 37.5 kg

1 hour 45 (hanged around to watch my training partner attempt 250 deadlift!)
