Nice pickup indeed Happy Training 20 miles away but on the same wavelength it seems. Sucks about the arm m8 , avoiding maxes for a while seems a good idea.

Thanks. Was happy with it until I saw you had done 170!! Arm hasn't been the same since last years SSM u90 when I damaged it on the viking press.

Deadlift seems to be going well, it will be interesting to see what happens in a couple of weeks when I go heavy again. Everything seems to be improving again and I feel a lot fitter.

75x3 Left side went up easy, right would hardly move

Pressing on an oly bar is getting sacked off for now until I get this shoulder sorted out!!

Right, Stricts can get to fook for now it hurts too much. Going to stick to log and dumbell until the shoulder is sorted. Squats were all over the place, just a bad I guess. Not done weighted pull ups for ages and my previous pb was +35kg!

Hi Matt, thanks. I don't lift in any association mate, I compete in strongman at u90.
I've thought of having a go at powerlifting but will probably try when my body can no longer take the strongman stuff.

Took the kids swimming today, so did some of that there cardio stuff.
Swimming 25m underwater and loads of other stuff totalling about 1 3/4 hours, followed by 15 mins in the spa.

Hahaha. my hands were trashed afterwards though. Got to push myself, I've got max dreadlift in first comp in April ging up against Stuart Yule and two other potential 300 lifters, one of them has just done 240x8!!

Straps are allowed in the comp. but I've gotten lazy over the last few months and used straps when I really shouldn't have. Want to get back into the habit of lifting without. Yes it is Phil Robertson and he is a beast on static lifts, former Scottish junior powerlifting champ.

Log is coming back to where it was before, shoulder feels ok up to 3 reps. Really, really happy to finally get my first 300kg 18" and it felt like there was more there too. Need to sort out some proper blocks to pull from though.Grin
