No denying his strength but ive never seen him do a squat to below parallel, and his spotters always look a bit too hands on for my liking as well.

^^ im sure it does. But if his goal is to be number 1 in the world it is a problem Ed is going to have to fix.

He should have been top 2 at Europes last year, and had a decent shot a podium spot at Arnolds and instead he has had to withdraw from both comps after only 1 event.

6/3

1 clean strict log

85 * 3, 3,
95 * 3, 3,
105 * 2, 2.

1 clean log press

105 * 5, 5,
110 * 3, 3,
115 * 2, 2,
125 * 1.

Safety bar speed squats

160 * 2, 2, 2, 2
200 * 1, 1.

Prowler 15m arm over arm/15m push

+80 - 2 runs

15m prowler drag/15m push/15m drag - ridiculous thigh pump.

Reasonably content with todays session.
Log work was done on a thin strength shop log, really awful to clean, but pressing felt strong enough, will be alternating log and db now as i have both coming up over the next couple of months.
Squats felt much faster today, and minimal knee pain.
Prowler was by far the biggest sled ive ever seen, even with just 4 plates on it felt pretty hefty. The final set gave me a ridiculous quad pump and left me floored for 10 mins waiting to be able to use my thighs again.

Highlight of this for me is Lalas completing the bale tote and taking 3rd overall, great to see him back on his A game.

There was. Ive seen the results somewhere on fb, cant remember them now. Think shaw was joint top and ahead of Thor.

He will stay that way.

He said he would leave the forum if Z didnt win deadlift.

Didnt think Ed had another lift in him after that 460. Massive credit to him for pulling that 465 when it counted.

A thoroughly deserved win.

Shaw looked awesome, had a lot more in the tank. Got to be huge favourite for overall after Zs disappointing performance there.

One of the stupidest things you have said. Its his job, he does everything he can to be the best at it. That isnt annoying, thats just good sense.

You are fooling yourself if you think Z or Radz do it any differently.

4/3

Speed deadlifts

190 * 2,
220 * 2, 2, 2,
250 * 2, 2, 2, 2.

Assisted wide grip pull ups, 3 * 8.

500m row, 1m55.1s.

Fairly unproductive and rushed session today.

Good stuff Ox

3/3

Assisted squats, 2 *3.

Assisted overhead squats, 2 * 3.

Paused front squats

150 * 5, 5,
170 * 3, 3,
180 * 2, 2,
190 * 1, 1.

Hugely long day at work today so no energy for anything else. Briefly considered doing squats afterwards but only did a few singles with 180 and the knee pain was fairly unpleasant, no idea why as front squats were fine. If it persists next week i will bring it up with my physio.

Massage in the morning and then speed deadlifts.

1/3

Assisted squats, 2 * 3.

Paused squats

180 * 3, 3,
200 * 3, 3,
220 * 2, 2.

Axle deadlifts

180 * 3, 3,
220 * 3, 3,
240 * 2, 2.

Sandbag over yoke

100 * 5, 5, 10.

Lying leg curls, 3 * 8.

Doh apollons axle holds

135 * 15s, 15s, 15s.

Monster db pick ups

45 * 10, 10.

Not a bad session today, though nothing spectacular.
Squats felt a little rough due to some pain in my knee.
Axle deads were just to try out the figure 8 straps, felt a little tight across the wrist, but gave me a solid grip on the axle so they are fit for purpose.
Conditioning and grip work were fairly standard, though the final set of sandbag was very hard work, definitely got the lungs working.

It will certainly be a new record, but more like the hummer tyre deadlift record than an actual world deadlift record.
