thanks mate, just have to be carful not to burn out. ive just started doing the odd squat sessions as it has a proper rack which when training on your own is a great help in case i fail. i use to train there in my school/college days.

if you dont mind giving me some advice. what do you reckon of my squat routine. after how many weeks should i deload and change or should i just carry on if its working. i normaly only do a 5 rep max every 2 - 3 weeks and alternate between no belt squats, box squats, pin squats, slow squats. if i achieve the 5 reps i go heavier and try for triples to boost strength.

brunos

squats with belt
60 x 8
100 x 5
140 x 3
155 x 3 pb felt comfortable. went really low on last rep. had more in me
160 x 5 i cant believe this. beat my pb by 4 reps. all felt comfortable. maybe could have gone little lower but still would pass .
165 x 3 This is amazing . new pb and for 3 reps
165 x 3 soild and went low.
165 x 2 failed last one but who cares. i reckon i could do 170 for few reps. so pleased with my self. hope i keep it up.

deadlifts belt

60 x 8
100 x 6 double overhand grip
125 x 8 x 6 sets normal grip
all felt sold and speed improving. can feel my self getting stronger with this routine. did feel knackered though and out of breath .

left it there as i felt too tired to do anything eles and wanted some well deserved food down me. excellent session.

40 x 9
70 x 9 (9 sets in total) technique was spot on during the latter sets. seemed to squeeze shoulder blades back and control weight on the downward phase. the weight went up with great speed/force and also had nice arch minimising the distance. some of the later sets actually felt easier then the beginning.

75 x failed but close

i really hope so mate. sick of being stuck at 160. i feel so much more confident now and got a good solid stance. so i should get it pretty soon
