Squat day. Couldn't be arsed today, legs feeling tight and weak, but went OK once warmed up and under the bar. Nothing too heroic today, just putting the graft in. Low bar back squat 60kg x8 60kg x8 100kg x5 140kg x3 531............... 150kg x5 165kg x3 185kg x5 (rep PB) 531 over........... 190kg x2 190kg x2 (trying wraps - very tight, uncomfortable. possibly a little better at bottom) 180kg x3 (looser wraps - hmm OK, nothing amazing) 180kg x4 back in sleeves Front squats 100kg x5 120kg x5 120kg x5 120kg x5 Paused Back squats - very deep and long pause 140kg x5 140kg x5 140kg x5 SLDL 130kg x4 (abandoned as back pumped to hell and painful and takes ~20 minutes to get better so left) Lunges, barbell in high bar position 60kg Lx5, Rx5 80kg Lx5, Rx5 80kg Lx5, Rx5 Reasonably good session. Hamstrings and glutes feeling a bit fatigued so think when fresh the wraps will be more beneficial as the lockout was the hardest bit today so less benefit. Will see how they go. Weighted lunges felt good and will be kept in for a bit as feel they help my stability a bit. | |||
