been looking around for good routines and found this. It works around 8*2 increasing the reps by 1 every session. 2 sessions a week. Looks like a good program even tho it is very slow and methodic. Has any one used this and did they get good results?

Ive been using a slighty modified one at the moment. He goes into much greater detail in his book, he also has a seconds part of the routine to get a 'pump' - 3x6 rising to 3x8.

He does say 3 exercises twice a week as a minimum, problem is each routine would then take ages (33 sets excluding warm ups - so at 3 mins rest thats 90mins+)

He was lifetime drug free but he didnt seem to be able to do an honest days work which I think helped him to be able to train like that. He also ate 10000 calories a day.

Its very slow as a routine but I think its good for me at the moment - I will be reducing the volume soon to even less than now as my recovery is terrible at the moment (an will only get worse)

Have a gander:

I did the Hepburn routine which Starr cited in his book (slightly different to the one linked) and pretty much did the bulk of my training using that method for the first 3-5 years of my training. Was good.

What I did was this:

Monday - bench
Tuesday - Squat
Thursday - Press
friday - Dead

Except I usually did 5 singles followed by 5 sets of 5 on the main lifts.

I normally did some assistance, usually low reps and not many sets. Stuff like GMs, RDLs, Chins, Rows that type of thing.

That was pretty much what I did between around 2002-2006.

He has one programme called the 10x3 method and also explains in detail why things work (hes some neuro scientist aswe I think)

Good shout for waterbury, I like his stuff.

The Hepburn autobiography is great. What do you think a 300lbs+ man would do on LSD? Guess no more, just read the book!
