I think this how its spelt.a friend of mine takes this and wanted to know if this would affect his training? Anyone had experience with this please let me know thanks

From what he has said its to treat mental illness, no idea what in it,he is a mess alcohol, drugs have caused mental issues.I said I'd ask on here maybe someone has had experience with it.

Well regardless of whether it hinders or helps his training, I'm assuming he's on it because he HAS to take it. So it helps him in some way. You'd think that would be a positive thing.

No he has no choice he asked me if it would effect training in anyway,totally out of my depth with that question :/

It shouldn't effect training at low to moderate doses, although there is a slight risk he will gain some weight but that isn't certain and risperdal tends to have less effect on weight than other antipsychotics such as olanzapine or quetiapine. Risperdal does have a sedating effect but this wears off within an hour or so of waking. The benefit of improved mental health will improve training far more than any possible minor decrease in strength. Also to look at the way these drugs effect the brain I can't see how they could reduce strength.
