I need help!

My grip fails on farmers even though I can get moving pretty quick with them, so once I can grip properly I should be able to do well in this event.

Currently I do doh deads, 50kg dumbbell holds, some CoC and some 1 handed deads.

Anyone got any tips for number of reps, frequency or anything else I should be doing?

Thanks guys

Yeah I get right underneath it. Think the technique is good, just grip not strong enough.

The obvious choice but I don't have access to farmers handles every week and doing once every 2-3 isn't often enough I think.

I do 50kg dumbbells for 90seconds but maybe I should up the weight and reduce the time.

What weight does your grip fail at?
Are you using chalk?
90 seconds with 50kg dumbells walking about it pretty tough going, they are harder than farmers of the same weight that's for sure.

Think doing timed holds with a barbell prob simplest thing. Then finish with walks with 50kg db.

I can hold 130kg's for a few seconds. Yes loads of chalk. I guess 130kg's farmers is as hard as around 70kg dummbells?

Don't have access that often but could use those rubber things that add thickness to a normal bar.
