Right I'm in need of some new knee wraps, mainly for squatting but might use them for events.

What do you guys rate as the best 2-3m wraps you have used?

Also which knee wraps should i avoid?

Thanks Happy

Edit: also how much do you think you get from your wraps?

The best wraps I have used are 2.5m APT Convicts. This is from a powerlifting point of view i.e they add the most to my squat. I know they do exist in 3.0m too. Inzer Iron Z wraps feel far too flimsy, Inzer True Blacks feel a little too comfortable (I like wraps that bite and hurt)

Do knee wraps add much? Ive only used them a couple times, i find it a bit harder to reach depth. probably just need to practice wearing them.

I'd be interested to hear peoples answers on this. I personally get around 5kg if that from the wraps i'm currently using. There very soft and just provide support for my knees if anything.

I have heard of people getting a lot more from stiffer wraps......if you can take the pain Happy

Vg has Zulu glove knee wraps. They're 2.5m long and made from same material as APT strangulators, only £20 too. He's had them 2-3 years and they're still in great nick

Just googled them, they look really good for the price.

If your knee wraps are even half decent and wrapped properly you should be looking for about 20-30kg extra plus I find my form is much better with wraps as opposed to without.
If your not bothered about competing in powerlifting I've just got a set of strengthshop odins and they feel pretty good, about 3x the stiffness of my old wraps.

I was a bit wary tbh because my old wraps are so much softer. I've only used the Odins a couple of times so far and whilst yes they are tight and stiff the feeling in them is very good. Only problem I had the first time was trying to get under the bar to start with!

My unequipped squat is 155kg, my best in wraps (not put on particularly tight) is 175kg. 30kg out of some silly tight wraps should be pretty easy to come by IMO. Get some stiff horrible things and squat something massive!

I get a good 25-30kg from my very old THP's, feel far better squatting in them too tbh.

I'm going to be getting some 2.5m wraps soon, I was looking at the black/yellow (not sure of name) strengthshop ones, anyone tried them before?
