Deadlifts (sumo, straps up, full battle gear)
75x8,125x5,165x4,200x3,240,275x2

225x3,3,3

Conventional - 140x8,8

Floor Press
65x6,100x4,125x4

Stopping the deadlift routine, the sumo have been too tough on the hips and I dont think my hips were quite ready for this type of intensity, and it no joke when I say I have had trouble walking for the past two weeks let alone squatting as well, so I'm switching back to conventional next week. Had to stop the speed sets early Because I couldnt take anymore, still a ok session I guess.

Thanks mate, Yea I love deadlifting man, It has to be my fav, Think I'm just lucky because my arms are quite long though It means I have to work harder on the bench. I like the squats as well, everytime my raw squats goes ,deadlifts goes up. I have been training on and off for just over 2 years, started PL at the end of last year, just wish I was in the game in my teens as I aint getting any younger Grin

Massive deadlifting there mate. Whats your best conventional pull?

285 unequipped in my first comp is the my best registered pull till date, I never take max attempts in training.

Great deadlifting! Pity to hear the hips are getting a bit battered by the sumo, mine certainly felt sore the day after I first tried it.

Oh, and your grip is crazy strong!

Dont know what to make of the rack pulls really, first timer and they just feel strange without the leg drive, tore a a large chunck of skin on my left palm on the last set, so had to skip the stiff legged deadlift I had planned.

Pullthroughs, Abs, Curls

My ocassional training partner Gary Michell came down tonight, started mouthing off about me stepping up to the big mans world (100kg class), we were exchanging some jokes and banter, by the end of the night, I have got myself into a £50 bet on who will come out on top at the londons latter down the year. A bit silly for me to have been sucked in as he has been in the game a long time, but it should be good challenge I , One thing for sure, I need to get me a suit asap Grin
