Do you eat or drink anything pre work out? Be it your own recipe or a supplement and why?

I've still got a couple of tubs of the old formula jack3d, sorts me right out for training but the comedown from it is pretty wank

Double coffee and 2 proplus before every session works well for me , tried a couple of pre workouts and didnt get on with them , more alert but actually felt weaker due to muscle twitches and nausea.

The reflex ore workout formula works best for me. Add another 5g of creatine.

Pineapple flavour is the only one that's nearly drinkable though.

If you train in the morning definately use a pre-workout supp and then you won't have any of the negative effects like not being able to sleep LOL. You could always try taking it in the morning and training in the evening anyway, see if it keeps you fired up all day and ready to go.

Personally I would ensure I'd had meat and nuts and given it enough time to digest. I suggest food versus protein shakes for your pre-workout meal because if you eat right, you’ll get better sustenance and be able to train harder

Consume green tea for an alternative caffeine source that provides an amazing number of antioxidants and has many health benefits including lowering chronic inflammation. The caffeine and the natural chemicals in green tea make it a stimulant but it also manages anxiety, making it a useful anti-fatiguer.

That's my recommendations as a PT, my recommendations as a strongman is simple T5s.

I ate 3 scoops of jack3d before and didn't do anything. I usually have coffee just before i leave, buy an energy drink on my way there and have that with a cigarette.

If I'm on the ball, I have a milkshake with oats, yoghurt, banana, whey, peanut butter, honey, creatine, l-glutamine and milk about 1.5hours before hand and a strong sugary coffee just training. Never used anything like jack3d
