Just a quicky, in your personal opinion what would be the best stance for a person like myself who has poor levers for deadlifting? Close or wide?

Im 6"2 but have midget legs and a very long back as my physio tells me ha my lockout height is literally bollock line!

Also i think it says a lot as it turns out im s**te at stiff leg deads (close stance) but as i found out yesterday im strong at this snatch grip deadlift thing?!

Hope someone has some insight...

I do see ya point and agree but this limits leg usage as i cant ger my ass down low enough, but i can when wide but obv lengthens the pull

I don't really have good levers for deadlifing, i never played with how narrow my stance is or anything, just making sure my hip height is right on each and every pull

That's something that was also mentioned to me after I posted a vid of my deads somewhere else. Should help with fatigue as a set goes on. So it's definitely something to think about Happy

Would hate to think how much you'd pull if you did have good levers.

Nigel - i'd say post a video of both a sumo and a conv deadlift. Of course you can improve both with work. It also depends on how long your legs are. Any conv and sumo vids?

Try watching some videos of Dean Bowring deadlifting on youtube if there are any?
Has to grip the bar quite wide because he was enormous, but gets really low and uses the suit properly (I'm assuming you use a suit for the strongman?)
But it is textbook and he finishes the lift around his nuts
