Evening all

I'm finding that my trainers compress too much under heavy loads, so I was interested to know what the general feeling is towards Adidas Ironwork shoes?

They look pretty expensive so its not like you can buy them on a whim.

But at the end of the day I'm willing to do whatever it takes to become lemon fresh.

These are probably the best value for money shoes about, lots of lifters seem to use them.

Ironworks or the ones Bryanevans mentioned are something you shouldnt go without. They last for life so you only have to buy one pair, solid as rocks, plus they added some kg to my squat!

Yep - you buy a set of those puppies and look after then you will still be using them in 10 - 20 years time. I know some guys in the masters side still using their Polish boots that they bought back in their 20's

I love my ironworks, but they are falling apart pretty rapidly.

Id happily replace them though.

Just for looks, the new nikes look awesome. They've kitted out China, the US and Ukraine in them for Beijing. Apparently they're out on general release after that.

Very nice. Im hoping with some new laces mine will last a good year or two yet. Im also going to get a fraction more heal added soon.

Mish, I love them, they just take a beating, would certainly get Adidas again. They fit me really well.

I bought these last week:

I tried squatting in them on Friday. They feel secure and they fit nicely. However, they have no heels, though, so I'm beginning to wonder if that was a mistake, as every other example shown on here seems to have them.

Depends what you bought them for really. Plenty of people prefer to squat without a heal, most of the oly guys prefer a heel and a lot of ipf style squatters do too.
