Doing my first SMCL comp on the 4th June in south africa. Not in my best shape and still dont know the events but im guna just have some fun and enjoy it.

Johannes Arsjo had to pull out after hurting his back on the deadlift.

Happy with my performance.

Won the Truck pull, deadlift, farmers and Log. Hit a 185kg Log to match the British record. I was second on the Tyre to Ettien and 4th on the Stones.

next weekend is the SMCL in Finland with log for max again so im going to try 190 as im sure Rob Frampton will too so fingers crossed we can both get it.

ace performance Loz - 185 is british record? pretty sure both yourself, frampton and Terry got to be knocking on the door of a 200kg log pretty soon surely?

Great result Loz didn't have you down as a big logger(no offence) but 185 is world class. Who held the british record before? Dave Meer must be near the 185 mark too.
