I've just done a 2 minute plank (bodyweight only) as part of my ongoing attempt to sort out my injured sacroiliac joint.
Does anyone do them weighted?
I suppose you could get someone to put a plate on your back, or strap a plate to your front somehow.

lift one foot off the ground and alternate.
Place elbows on a swiss ball and roll back/fowards

I do then with Andy b and rate them. Do varying timed holds. Last time was 30s I think with a fat fit sat on ya back

You came in 30s with some big guy on you? Not even a reach around? Kudos.
Yes Wayne make the plank harder some way.

Yeah. Bodyweight is way too easy. Boredom sets in before fatigue!

i use a roman chair, or a bench and tuck my legs under something for a more effective way to do a weighted plank.. with plates on chest, makes it much easier!! 10 seconds hold, 5 seconds sit up and rest for 5 in a row.
when youre good enough and if youve got the space, olympic bar behind neck. as long as you dont go below parallel as it makes it a different exercise.

Yeah, I got to about 4mins bodyweight (seriously boring) then added. Just stick a plate on your lowerback and get into position carefully. 15 is fine, 20 might be awkward to fit, but then I'm short.

Am I the only one who's seriously impressed with a 4 minute plank? I'm hanging out my arse after 45 seconds. Are you doing these arms straight or on your elbows?

Slide along the floor (in socks on a smooth floor) - makes them loads harder .... called a bodysaw I think

Elbows on carpet, ended up looking like some weird skin disease. On checking 3.30 is the best I actually got. Maybe my form just sucks

75Kg, held for 40 seconds, twice.
My arse should be lower really. It's hard to tell how straight you are. There's hardly any ground clearance with the weights.
