Uk sport often bang on how no supplements are "safe" and that athletes use them at their own risk
My advice would be to save your money and just use caffeine (i was previously told 4-6mg per kg of bodyweight)

I don't imagine there are many that aren't safe. The only thing in a pre-workout drink likely to be banned is some kind of stimulants and the vast majority use (legal) caffeine and other legal things.
Best bet is to google all ingredients and of those that are stimulants, check closer on the ban list if you aren't sure.

I've just been looking at the prohibited list and the ingredients on some supplements and it's pretty hard to tell what's safe and what isn't.
Maybe I should just stick to the double espresso before I workout.

Having said what I said above, I'd agree with this, though the caffeine dose is very dependent on how tolerant you are. Best bet is to start with one cup of coffees worth - 70-100mg and see how that feels. Starting with upwards of 250mg seems pretty heavy duty and tolerance will build up faster. The less you can use the better imo. Uk sport often bang on how no supplements are "safe" and that athletes use them at their own risk

I have used Jacked 3d in the past but I see it's main ingredient is banned.

Yeah its a ball-ache going through ingredients! Just buy some caffeine tablets from myprotein (or similar) come in 200mg tabs costs like £2.99. Might be cheaper than all that coffee, although won't taste as good

f**k it, LSD then. You'll believe that your session was amazing and you lifted the actual gym off the ground.

They are safe.
The only thing that is prohibited as far as pre workout drinks go is Jack3d.
I usually have a rip off red bull (£4 for 20 from cash and carry) or a coffee if its cold.
