Just cut your calories and up energy expenditure. You can hop on one leg for an hour if you really want and lose weight if you are in a calorie deficit. In the same way you can just lift weights and lose weight. The classic advice is reduce calories to 500kcal below maintenance calories and exercise in whatever way you want. Calorie reduction can be done in a number of ways including low carb, low fat, intermittent fasting etc.
» Sleep problems/supplement? (Go to post) | 26-08-2015 @ 10:44
A couple of things to try before reaching for the supplements: 1. Do not use your smartphone in bed or just before bed. This includes iPads and laptops etc. 2. Take a cold shower or bath directly before bed. Plenty of literature out there on cold water immersion and its effect on heart rate variability: basically immersion in cold water (10-14deg) has a relaxing effect on the body. 3. Turn off all electronic items in the room. 4. Do not drink alcohol.

Alex76 said: Nope, the 25s are 17 inch, the 20s are are about 15 inches as you can see here: http://www.fitness-superstore.co.uk/media/catalog/product/cach... Might not be an issue for some, but my OCD likes all the big plates to be the same size. Easy solution. Only lift in 50kg increments

fitness superstore are the best by far. So what if they are very slightly smaller in diameter, a slight deficit deadlift never hurt anyone in training. Also my 50kg plates weighed in at 50.00kg on the scales

I dont care who takes what to be honest, I just like a nosey now and again at who has been caught. I thought the fact that so many rugby players had been done was worth mentioning. No no, that's not what I meant - only the s**t players get caught I'm sure there are high class players using what I meant was that the lower level players get caught as they have less to lose

Cuddles said: OF do you catch those in lower leagues so that it looks like you're testing properly? Kind of making them sacrificial lambs. Nah I think the lower league guys have less to loose than the pro guys and probably use for aesthetic reasons above performance.

Post Edited: 11.06.2015 @ 15:15 PM by bigbadbish Sadly a large number of failed tests in rugby are for recreational drugs. There have been some lower level players done for gear (mainly in wales if I remember correctly). Edit: just checked the lists and there seem to be plenty of guys failing for PEDS but I have no idea who any of them are so they're probably jokers - no major loss to the sport
