Big thanks to Bryn for running a super efficient competition and thanks to the loaders for their efforts in helping it all run so well. Sorry to those in the C & D groups for leaving before you lifted - I had to get back down to London.

I put together a video of my lifts. 152.5/162.5/170, 95/100/105, 200/210/217.5(f) at 76.9kg.

Thanks Matt and Smallsy Happy Itsasecret - pretty standard carryover for equipment - this is also an oly squat vs. a wide stance squat just below parallel.

New PB on the deadlift, 200kg x 3. Again, mediocre, but I was happy.

In response to Ursus's comment: "Id much rather see a mediocre lift than listen to crap. Come on lads sort it out"... here are some of my mediocre training lifts.

I don't think he's talking sense about the deadlift to be honest. If you do anything but white light that 3rd deadlift, you don't understand the rules and shouldn't be reffing, full stop. It wasn't even close.

Nice lifting btw Macca Happy

Not necessarily. Jack is still young. Brute strength matures over time. I'd say there's no need to increase his work load. He's already hurt his back. Patience!
Injuries don't come solely from too high a workload/high frequency. A lot of the time, it's from imperfections in form. Form improves with high frequency -> less injuries. I've personally had less niggles / pains since increasing frequency.

shanejer said:He dosent have to squat more .. I've only ever squatted once a week and my squat has never let me down! I'd power clean after deadlifts !
But Jack says he always struggles with squat and he's only doing it once a week... surely makes sense to do it more in that case?

Hmmmm, what would you suggest, concerning squating more? Because other people have said that? Maybe squat before deadlifts or something
Yes, add in squats before deadlifts for now.
