Cheers Macca Happy Yeh im pretty sure its there at the moment but i was messing with my technique which didnt really need messing with and as a result made the earlier sets harder. Very pleased with the set on 140 though and made my squatting for the day feel worthwhile Happy

Hopefully get 200kgs in the not too distant future.

Agreed, you have very good technique and you don't need to change anything. The 140 x 8 looked great, very nice PB indeed, 200 squat is very close!

Hopefully. Once ive settled on a new deadlift PB in a few weeks time i think ill go for it.

Had a look at David Whitleys stuff and decided to have a go at reverse "stacking" kettlebell excercises and bodyweight excercises together and made my own little mix

Kettlebell - 20kg

2 sets of:

Swing x 30s
Rest : 30s
KB Squat x 30s, Swing x 30s
Rest : 30s
Slingshot x 30s, KB Squat x 30s, Swing x 30
Rest : 30s
Assisted Pullup x 30s, Slingshot x 30s, KB Squat x 30s, Swing x 30s
Rest : 30s
Pushups x 30s, Assisted Pullups x 30s, Slingshot x 30s, KB Squat x 30s, Swing x 30s

These were ALOT harder than i had anticipated and was really breathing hard by the end of the sets. Not sure how many sets your meant to but went for a second after a good few minutes rest and managed it. Started off with normal pullups but had to change after a few cos i was knackered. Think im going to be doing this kind of thing more often. After the squats yesterday and then the squats and swings today my legs have been feeling a bit like jelly!

Im not going to be able to get into the gym tommorow or wednesday so decided id bench and deadlift in the same session. This is the first week of singles on deadlift and im hoping i can get to the 600lbs mark.

Deadlifts
Bar x loads
80kgs x 5
120kgs x 5
170kgs x 2
210kgs x 2
240kgs x 1
260kgs x 1 - PB

Called it a day after the dips as i felt exhausted. Hadnt had very much food for the day and was feeling pretty fatigued after deadlifts and bench. Was happy with the deadlift although i think ill need to work on my grip a little as the 260kgs slipped in my left hand and was locked out on the fingertips(not sure if you can see this in the vid). The lockouts are getting tougher but theres definately more there if i can hold onto the thing. Think the lack of holding anything above 210kgs very often other than in the past few weeks is becoming apparent.

that cerainly looked easier then when i did 260 ..so there is more to come im sure !! is that the same place ken trains ? surely there is only 1 gym in scotland , 2 if u count buzz's shed of joy

oh and a brutal looking kb session !! i would be inclined to start with the giants set and take one off every time, but im soft and want to get the tough stuff out of the way

Great PB and that was only a day after the carnage at the weekend lol! Grin

I definitely think you have a 600 lb pull in you!

Cheers Boar Happy Haha yeh it is where ken trains sometimes but im sure theres a few more gyms in scotland. 4 at least i reckon... Yeh that stacking thing was really hard. If id set a time for the rest under about 5 minutes i dont think id have finished the second set. Going to do some variation of this stuff everyweek i think. Fun in a sort of horrid way

With a bit of grip work and a week off i reckon this wont be too far off. Ill need to pull 275 soon at least to beat you to the 300, which by the way i hope you mean will be unhitched, no suit and no straps Grin Whats your weight like these days by the way?

Haha cheers! Hoping to keep this run of PB's going. Can feel that todays took a bit out of me. Contemplating a deload next week but ive got the nexr two days off so will see how i feel.
