Wasnt feeling great for this session as id only had a protein shake all morning after being in class for four hours. Anyway was a good little session.

Stopped after the military press as my triceps were goosed! Really want to get good at the dips so think im going to keep them in twice a week. The set with the 12.5kgs added felt quite good so i think ill build up the reps or weight each session. Was going to do some upper back but stuff but ill do it after squats tommorow.

Really good session Happy My setup felt perfect today on squats and possibly the strongest theyve ever felt. Sank the first 3 reps deeper than normal and then think the next two reps were well in aswell and were all fast reps. Think i could possibly have pushed for another couple of reps at this weight too. Then decided to go for some deadlifts off of plates (which was a pain in the arse to setup) just to work my grip a bit without taxing myself too much. Did a hold for about 5 seconds at the end aswell. After this i just messed about with some upper back work and called it a day.

Cheers buddy. Squats felt great today! Was concentrating on keeping my set up tight after watching that vid you favourited on youtube. s**t works!

Haha yeh it comes up on my feed when i log into youtube. Saw youd favourited some weird poem too Confused But yeah just had the bar slightly lower on my back and concentrated on keeping my elbows forward and the combination of the two just meant that i felt a whole lot tighter.

You serious Nick? The only thing i got from that was that your lower backs the weak link in a squat (true i suppose) and in order to get stronger you shouldnt back squat Confused

Quick bit of conditioning this afternoon.

Kettlebell - 20kg

2 sets of:

Swing x 30s
Rest : 30s
KB Squat x 30s, Swing x 30s
Rest : 30s
Slingshot x 30s, KB Squat x 30s, Swing x 30
Rest : 30s
Assisted Pullup x 30s, Slingshot x 30s, KB Squat x 30s, Swing x 30s
Rest : 30s
Pushups x 30s, Assisted Pullups x 30s, Slingshot x 30s, KB Squat x 30s, Swing x 30s

3 minutes rest between the two sets.

Again this felt pretty horrible. Hopefully going to give 3 sets a go next week but i wont time the break after the second. After a few weeks id like to cut own the rests between the three aswell.

Fancied going back to my old grip on bench today just to see what i could do.

120kgs x 2 (equal PB - wanted 3 but it wasnt there after the 2nd so racked it)
100kgs x 2 (triceps felt a little weird so stopped)

Military Press

70kgs x 4 - PB
75kgs x 2

Incline Dumbell Press
32kgs x 8
36kgs x 8
36kgs x 6

Pretty chuffed with todays session. Today was the first time ive gone back to almost max width grip on bench and it felt surprisingly strong. My previous PB on 110kgs on the bench was 4 reps so i think i might even be stronger with the wider grip. Military press was also good today as i think ive only ever done 3 reps with 70kgs before.
