Weightlifting and Log lift challenge @ OSG Asthon.
All week I was worried about this comp. Not done any WL for months and still carrying a bicep injury.
Weighed in 86.5kg
Warming up for the snatch I realised it wasn't going to be as bad as I thought. I was moving quite well and the weights were feeling quite light. Some good banter going on aswel.
On the platform
Snatch
60kg - good lift, easy
67kg - good lift, again no probs
75kg - fail, caught the bar slightly in front and dropped it forward.
Went back to the warm up area and smashed 75kg no probs, nevermind :/
Log lift.
Never used a fat log like this before and the only log I have used has been once or twice so decided to open with minimum weight. In all honesty I was using this as warm up for C+J.
62kg - good lift
80kg - good lift
90kg - good lift
Thanks to Nail to coaxing me into this had fun. The strongman world is s**tting it that I don't take this up seriously lol
C+J time. Coming into the comp I was gonna do power cleans but as I started warming up I realised I could still do a full clean. Opener was gonna be 70 but it just kept going up and up....
80kg - good lift
90kg - good lift
100kg - good lift!
Really wanted 90kg so to end up with 100kg (5kg down on my C+J best) with no training is happy days

Lifted my feet off the bench for these and completely eliminated the arch to increase the ROM and stop leg drive. Shocked at how hard this made the lift.
Leg raises

Raises to the side.
2 x 4 each side.
Thing were going well until about 3-4 weeks ago and for some reason my lifts started taking a nose dive. Confidence is non existent ATM and I'm feeling quote down about my lifts and training. Gotta shape up, no good crying just gotta get on with it :'(

Right guys back to it. Some s**t gone down lately, back single again. Still been training but not had much time to log progress.
Any how I've been deadlifting started back about 3-4 weeks ago, pulled 190kg in the 1st week, 200 the 2nd, 210 the 3rd and this is yesterdays session...

There we go 220kg, coming back nicely. I think 10kg a week is soon gonna slow down, my aim for next week is 225kg. Gonna keep pulling max single every week until it stops working.

Heaviest I ever got to was 94kg. Tbh JC I've been the same weight for ages but my body composition has changed loads. I was becoming a right fatty.
