This log does exactly what it says on the tin!!! If you dont know me let me introduce myself, my names Paul 'Moz' Morris and im 27. Ive been lifting since I was 19 but before that I did boxing and gymnastics. over the years Ive competed in many regional and a few national comps. Im taking a break from full powerlifting and concentrating on bench altho from time to time I will throw in some squats or deads usally after a comp or after one of those days when everthing seems to piss you off! recently moved up from the 90s to the 100 class. maybe I should set some goals for this log? reach 100kg, altho this could be quite easy become a fat(ter) bas***d lol! 250kg bench for feb?, doing around 230kg now. any suggestions and comments welcome esp nice ones Wink

Sunday 11th of Oct

Northwest Benchpress

weighed 94.9kg

opener 220kg, goodlift.

2nd lift 230kg fail.

3rd lift 235 fail.

happy days, won the 100kg open and had heaviest lift of the day. the 230 fail was due to belly benching! maybe a harsh call but right I think, if im ever going to be good on a national level or international level I need refs even at nw to be strict Happy

really happy im sure I could of done the 230 again but I wanted to know where I am if that makes sense.

BTW good to see all the familar faces Wink

Good luck with the training Moz, looking STRONG on the vids... plenty more to come. What did you weigh in at?

Also, Ironback told me might have a crack at a bench comp... you seen him at all or is he still nailing the cable crossovers?

its a lot harder on the tris for a start. does anyone you lift with use shirts? Its worth having a couple of sessions with someone like Mr Flett. altho im alright in a shirt im not much of a coach. make up some boards aswel your gonna need them!
