I would say its as good, if not better than Predator 2 (which I enjoyed). Not as good as the original, but that was a big ask!Some good links to the 1st one with the use of similar/the same lines. Brody is good, but not bulked up as the press say. More Men's Health tbh. The Predator's are ace, and there are some nice suprises. Also features the mini gun again, a welcome return! Sets up well for a sequal. I've read a lot of the Predator/Alien novels and Graphic novels in my youth, so there are a lot of options for them. If you like your action movies without too much thinking involved, I recommend this. May be worth waiting for DVD as cinema is an expensive trip now and there are always some f**king to**ers making noise! | ||

 I am a bench-only guy Member 3, 10035 posts SQ 185, BP 175, DL 235595.0 kgs @ 140kgs UnEq Administrator | I saw it on Sunday - it's a much better movie than P2 (and incomparably better than the AvP stuff), though it'll never be remembered and worshiped like P1. The plot is fairly coherent [1], only one thing is not explained that I thought needed explaining, the effects are pretty good and I liked all the performances. Nice to see Brody doing an action flick, and he was (by his standards) very bulked up - he's normally one skinny motherf**ker. Apparently the big fanboy complaint [2] has been that the iconic trailer shot of Brody covered in Predator gunsights isn't in the film (which it isn't, and indeed it'd need a rewrite of the plot to make it workable). If you care about this, you need to get out more. Pretty damned good as Big Dumb Action Movies go, and actually less dumb than most these days. Worth two hours and a bucket of popcorn for sure. Nicely set up for a sequel, too, which I'll see if they make it. (We went at the right time - cinema was nice and quiet since the cup final was playing  .)[1] for a mainstream action flick, I mean [2] inasmuch as there's been one - feedback's been pretty +ve | ||
