im planning on competeing as much as possible next year
hopefully divisionals, then brits, then euros, then worlds, if i qualify
then brits and worlds on the single event, maybe, again aslong as i qualify
then a handful of strongman comps, a fairly light(ish) one to break myself in, then i may give myself a bit of a challenge, and probably one or 2 bdfpa strongman comps, because the one i saw in st just looked really really fun lol

Although I have lost the chance of doing maybe 2/3 'novice' comps each year [Fraserburgh, Dunfries, Unit 20(May try to do this to defend the title )] I have expanded by comps in terms of the qualifier this year, I plan on qualifying [I think this would make me the youngest to ever qualify?], then Ive got the final and the Scottish Team Event. Stuart Murray will be doing another comp and also there is the chance of the British or the UKs.
Its just trying to get as many in as possible, and just see what happens

Aye, fast progress man! I think it's good to recognise that you're comfortably at open level now. Hopefully there will be plenty open comps this year, but generally I would not let someone who'd won a novice comp, enter a novice comp that we ran. Hopefully an open equivalent (or similar) comp will be run at the unit, to give the folk who we turned away for the novice comp a chance to enter. Now you're in with those guys Ken!

My plan is to not to do any english novices any more, though still do some scottish ones Just to explain: in england if you place high in novice comps, you should move to opens, in scotland only when you win a novice comp you are not allowed to enter them any more, and they call everything novice apart from the SSM etc national level comps, or if otherwise specified. So there are some really heavy and hardcore comps they call "novice".

I didnt know that. Seems like a clearer system than the english. There seems to be a lot of b**ching about whos a novice and who isnt down here.
My plan:
- one more novice comp.
- as many 105 comps as I can get to.
- an open comp.
- unit 20 if theyll have me again.

It's not really that clear, Joni just makes it sound clear It's a grey area all over unitl there is a governing body I think.

Banned - too strong
For sure we'll have you again! (revenge time for me)

Iain, we're going to meet on the platform at the BWLA Unequipped nationals next year. You'll squat a cracking 235kg and leave me trailing as I only manage 200kg. You f*ck up your bench though and only get your opener of 140kg, after losing your line in the last two attempts due to too much equipped training. I manage a respectable 150kg. Your motivation goes for the deadlifts and your second attempt with 240kg is the most you can muster. I go on to pull an outstanding 272.5kg which means my 622.5kg leaves you trailing by 7.5kg.
Hope you do better in 2009, pal.

Just woken up from a nap and a nice day dream have we Titch!
I actually dreamed about Joe B last night. He was awarding the prizes at the BDFPA southern disvisonals where I won squating 235 and pulling 270. He had also come up with some weird training formlua he was traying to tell everyone about it. Strange but a true dream.
