Ok, I may be nuts but after doing rather well in the Truck Pull at a recent competition I have been dreaming about attaching my harness to Plane and hoping for the best. As I work in the airport and have the contacts, this idea may be coming to light. If it go's ahead I hope to get companies to sponsor me by the foot or meter.

Thing is

Truck was 14 tonne. (took 1:11 to move it 25 meters)
Airbus A320 is 42 tonne.
Boeing 737 is 28 tonne.

As there's no transmission on the plane it will move easier than a truck of the same weight.

Should I snap out of this idea on the basics that its a plane and I've more hope of flying it than pulling it, or does it sound do-able?

Also apart from doing truck pull what is the best training for this? front / rear squats???, leg extensions / curls??? calf raises / grip work??

Thanks Happy

Go for it sounds great and you could get some guys to do it with you for charity or simply to promote the sport

if I were you I'd make sure you could atleast move it, if people turn up to watch ect and it doesn't budge then it doesn't look very good.

Go for it!!! The truck at WSM last year was a tougher pull than the plane!

Thanks folks, I wont know for a week or so if i got the go ahead, but will defo go for it. Its Dublin Airport.

Terry i was on my high horse after doing well in the truck pull, then the next day in SCL Limerick seeing you do a 30 second sprint with the Big Rig put things in perspective Happy

God damn I'd love a go at this! Would be good if we could get a few guys together with the help of an airport for a blast?

it is the size of the wheels not the weight that is the important bit

smaller wheels=easier pull
