Conans wheel is cool, but just some object carry for distance is one of my least favourite events, both as a competetor and as a spectator. aye, 182kg would be a bit too heavy

I thought Joplin choked on a sandwich? Member 616, 8404 posts SQ 180, BP 130, DL 220530.0 kgs @ 78.8kgs UnEq | I don't think weight is as much of an issue as size. The unit used to have a shield which was either 90k or doubled to 180. The 90 I walked 120m with quite quickly. Couldn't even pick up 180 cause my arms were too short and I couldn't hold onto it that's going with the logic if your u90 you should have short arms

Big fish in a small pond Member 1150, 2101 posts | Post Edited: 17.05.2010 @ 14:14 PM by RyanH I was thinking 100kg would be a good starting point, and if it goes well and it is abit light i can always make a heavier one. Not sure who John Strange is... is that his username?

vegetarian with a big deadlift - who would have thought... Member 340, 13300 posts SQ 315, BP 190, DL 350855.0 kgs @ 110kgs UnEq | We had a stone carry at the IAWA stone lifting comp last year, I think it was 115-120kg, I think that would be a decent start weight... but as other have said a lot depends on how awkward it is, not just the weight.

Stronger than the PB chart Member 196, 456 posts SQ 400, BP 250, DL 4001050.0 kgs @ 156kgs UnEq | like carl just said we had a forklift tyre with plate in the middle of it loaded to 115kg's an a few walked it over 80+ meters !! it wasn't really the weight that hindered them but the sheer size/shape of the tyre !! looked great !!

Big fish in a small pond Member 1150, 2101 posts | Well the idea is to make it a tombstone shape, so i would assume thats going to be fairly hard because of the shape.
