Does siders compete in any strongman comps other than the Arnold?

Competed in WSM 2008, and only managed 6 squats (out of 7) in his heat. Beaten by Loz!

The Z of today would beat Svend at his peak.

Siders is the best under a bar with his 460Kg squat at the American nationals, which unfortunately did not count due to bombing out on the bench.

Savicaks has a PR of 425.5 Kg in powerlifting and i would have to agree he has probably had a better cross over to strongman than others.

Mikhail Koklyaev has one of the best raw squats i have seen with his awsome 365kg under the bar.

Because strongman events and equipment change so often you wont be able to answer this question definitively .

Unless, you quantify it on a set, universal, piece of equipment such as a powerlifting/weightlifting bar.

Dont know if i already mentioned this.. but the greatest squatters are powerlifters and weightlifters who then became strongmen Happy interesting...

Are you thinking of 2002 when they were squatting tyres on a machine?

Yes, I guess the best answer is - depends on the set-up.

Svend was great at repping with a fixed weight.

Loz is awesome at the kegs-into-cage set-up.

Think the question should be 'Who squats the most in strongman history'

Then it would be Siders,as the only way to effectively quantify MAX squat is PL style

I was very surprised (and very impressed) to see Poundstone squatting without wraps in his heat in WSM 2009.

Yeah but if you look at the bigger picture mate. Most get 60KG out of a suit, whereas 20KG max out of wraps, with many guys getting very little out of wraps at all

He had a suit I presume?
