Steve | Turkey Weightlifters Switch To Chinese Methods | 13-01-2010 @ 19:08
nothing to hide, please follow my life on webcam Member 255, 3732 posts | Turkish weightlifters plan to up their training from 20 hours to 30 hours a week following the Chinese example and yet most powerlifters still think three or four sessions a week for 5 to 6 hours total will give optimum results. Would powerlifters (and strongmen) get better results with 30 hours per week training?

deadlift 300kg conventional ? never gonna happen Member 414, 1127 posts SQ 275, BP 187.5, DL 317.5780.0 kgs @ 115kgs Eq | How would this be done, as in how do you build up to that sort of load ? Would it be just a series of small workouts as well as the main ones and just build it up over years? Also, how do you recover if this is done? Seems a mental amount of training but obviously it works. I guess that's the problem with us Westerners

Would powerlifters (and strongmen) get better results with 30 hours per week training? I'd train like a porfessional athlete if I was one! Unfortunatly I ma not hence I'll have to stick to the 6 or so hrs a week

When all you have to do is eat, sleep, s**t and train, you're going to manage a hell of a lot more volume. When you can get massages, saunas, steam rooms, more massages, food, sleep and blowjobs on tap, anything is possible.

The one in the guns and roses teeshirt. Member 171, 2462 posts SQ 272.5, BP 140, DL 245657.5 kgs @ 80.2kgs Eq | Im sure plenty of powerlifters would train more than 6 hours a week given the time. I think some of the west side guys train many more hours than this since they are at least part-time powerlifters.

How often does lbstone plod his beat for instance?

How often does lbstone plod his beat for instance? He works a lot from what I hear. He is also a manager of an apartment building on top of that. He says that when he competes it is not vacation time he is taking, he just has to miss work and not get paid.

still a devious weightlifting bastard Member 43, 14374 posts | No great mystique to it all. Take a load of rock hard people with potential and very little hope of escaping a (at best) mundane existence, stick them all together in a training camp with no distractions, tell them if they win national/ international honours they and their mams will get a pay rise and a nice big house, a scholorship of their choice, a couple of cars etc, give them all the facilities they need, medical/ nutritional support, and a coach who hasnt lived on the moon for the last 50 years. Good things are sure to happen. Top Chinese lifters training 30 hours a week though? Maybe the schoolkids

As for the other stuff, cops make very little money in the US for the time they put in. I am willing to bet that his money comes from the apartment manager.
