tryed to get better nutrition during thae day before training but work is still proving hars to eat around

Havnt benched in 10-12 weeks. Had been concentrating on OH for my comp. So went into tonight to see where I stood. Last time I benched I did 5x5 @ 100 and it was hardish.

Felt tired and lethagic walking into the gym. Didn't think it was going to be productive!

In my opinion I've lost nothing on my bench even know I havmt trained it. Prob a lot to do woth raping my triceps for OH work.

20kg 3x10. - really working on technique

170kg x2 - rep pb + 1

Videoed the last three sets! Really think I've improved tonnes from failing a single at 170 last week. Everything felt better but there still tonnes to work on.

Front squats

120kg x1. - old pb, real easy and deep imo
130kg x1 - +10kg pb, easy aswell!
140kg x1 - hardish but I think the depth was solid!

I'm trying to get back into ketosis so I've pretty much had zero carbs for the past few days, still energy levels where high today and I felt up for it!

250kg 2x3, 1x2. Wanted 3x3, but was happy enough with this, its a little over 90% 1rm. Hitched the last rep of second set and the same on the last set. Last rep on second set I got to my knees with ease and then cudnt lock out!

Nice squatting mate. Impressive front squatting. 140kg frontie looked solid.

What gym is that? Looks like the Glasgow Uni gym (Well same rack anyway) I know its not though.

Nice that the one somewhere in town then I start strathclyde at the end of the month. Don't think it will be convinent to train there that much though.

Took a holiday from strongman/powerlifting to play some rugby to get fitter/leaner!

Got injured (ligaments in left knee)

First session back today after about 5 weeks

Front squats!
60kg 2x5
80kg x5
90kg x5
100kg x3
110kg x2
122.5 x1
130 x1
142.5 x0 - fell over coming out of the hole, knee wasn't too bad!

Deads.
140 2x6
160x6
180 2x5. - all easy as pie to knee level then a weird pain in my knee from knee to lock out. Knee felt kinda unstable during the last half of the deads :/

Mate you really need to watch that knee. ACL is a very big injury, I did my LCL as you know, didn't rupture, but it was a partial tear. If you're having weakneww in the knee I fear that you have actually got a minor grade 1 -> grade 2 tear, just not a grade 3 tear which is a total ligament rupture.

You need to rehab the knee and get it sorted before doing ANY heavy weights or rugby! If you don't and cause further damage it could cause you to really mess things up and I know how important getting back to the level of rugby you were at is to you mate!

I agree totally..

Been uber pissed off being off the pitch and out of the gym, especially since barrie has actually listened and is eating tonnes and making progress. So he never shuts up about it.

No dynamic stuff yet.. Still need to find a decent physio.

30mins level 5- thought this would be hard, proved pretty piss. Higher level next time

Shoulder/overhead stability work with resistance bands

X walks and leg pull aparts with resistance bands

90kg x1 - f**ked the first press, easy on second press
100kg 2xf, f**ked the clean both times. Was tired and started using arms too much

140kg 3x5 - knee felt solid and fluid. Reps where piss easy, cud probably have high pulled most of them!
