ive remade the knackered sandbag and put in a couple of old 5kg plates too so should make it a bit harder. will hopefully get the ingredients for another one this week too.

I'll be there at 11 with just the one Matt, one cantankerous attitude and bag of carbs.

cracking session today lads. ran through the events for the comp and im happy with how it all worked out. well done to matt for turning up Grin. was good to meet you at last mate. brute strength was evident with a couple of virtual strict presses on the 64kg dumbell and some strong work on the axle and sandbags.

was good meet andy and josh properly. you both did some good lifting today. was particularly impressed with your sandbag work. well done lads.

wayne did some good stuff all round. strong as always on the silver dollar and made the 120 axle look easy.

jt was strong as f**k today. never ceases to surprise me what the old man can do! 7? reps on the 64kg inch, cleaned it to the shoulder one handed, took it for a little walk one handed and crushing the sandbags in less than a minute were some of the highlights. would be very hard to beat if he was doing the comp instead of reffing!

was pretty pleased with what I did. pressed the inch replica, equalling my pb, half decent time for the first 3 sandbags and a pb on the silver dollar. thanks again for coming along lads thats helped me out alot.

Great session today!! Thanks Will.

The sand-bag loading didn't bring me close to death like it did last time! My occasional bike rides may have had an effect?? I still HATE that event though!

Good efforts all round.

(See my journal for my lifts.)

always a pleasure to train at the farm

nice work on sandbags from will, fitness has improved

wayne strong overhead more fitness work needed

andy and danny survived this little trip considering danny has only been training 12 weeks he is a strong mofo

matt well lots of raw power little technique!

to anyone doing wills comp i would say make sure you have a warm up with the sandbag and get your technique nailed

my first run i fumbled lost about 5 seconds

I'm a fairly decent push presser. Slight improvement on the sand-bags. Hopefully there'll be another improvement on comp day.

Had a good session with the lads and very glad I went down having not played with any of the toys before.

Aside being bouncy as fook I liked the axle, but I will steal Jasons belt catch technique on this one to slow the bugger down and save my thumbs.

The dumbbell is a bugger, but in a strange warped way I like it alot.

Sandbags, trying to mimic the other guys technique cost me about 30 seconds on bag one, until I realised as my arms are longer I could pick them upto the shoulder in one motion (aside the biggest one). That and actually trainign some CV and recovery may help.

I had fun thatnks for inviting me will deffo glad I came and really looking forward to this show now.

BRB going to buy oxygen mask for running and reps

Will looked good on the events and congrats ont he db PB
Wayne is a deceptivly strong little f**ker - respect
Andydanjosh - whover was who lol, good stuff today, some real grit from you guys
JT - Impressive stuff all round and general nice bloke who helped me with rules and technique a bit.

its been a long time! wayne hit the farm today for a session.

wayne was looking in good shape with an epic 110 strict press for a pb and an easy 270kg frame walk. bit up and down myself but a fun session nonetheless!
