Excellent encouragement young Wiggers and an excellent expression to encourage with.

One of the seamen in "Master and Commander" has this tattooed on his fingers. I am not a fan of tattoos but I dislike that one very little.

I am in complete agreement. My focus is on the century and beyond Pete.

Thank you kindly. I consider this rather like Bradley Wiggins encouraging a five year child to cycle by running behind him holding his saddle. But I do have some rather strange thoughts, and just as surely as that child would appreciate Sir Bradley's efforts, I appreciate this.

Just realized that I could have ended this after the first three words, so I will stop now.

Well, maybe now.

Definitely now.

Five for me.

Error on the fourth where I used a letter I knew to be incorrect, but not in a tactical fashion. Satisfactory after that mistake.

Your analogy could not have been timed any better Pete. On this very day, Bradley Wiggins’ son has signed his first professional contract. As a cycling nut, I am old enough to remember the obligatory shots of him being pushed along by his father. However, and this is crucial, he may have Olympic golds and a TdF under his belt, but how many British squat records has he ever held? Ergo, Pete &rt; Wiggins.

I have varied my foot width slightly and find that a little narrower makes getting down easier but standing up a little harder but it is also more satisfying. Mack concluded that this is because my quads are as weak as piss he claims. Pathetically weak he says, and kind man would say that they were weak compared to the monstrous strength of my glutes and hamstrings. Mack is in no mood for kindness tonight, so weak as piss it is.

His remedy is to do high bar squats. So I tried a couple of sets of five with a humble seventy kilos. Depth is better but that could be because of increased fluency cause by increased confidence due to the much reduced weight. They are also very uncomfortable.

However, my eyes have been turned towards the hack squat machine. That would do no harm. All the benefits and none of the drawbacks. (I think)
