Won't change at all! But if England win the World Cup id celebrate, as a strength fan I'll celebrate one of our own winning the biggest competition in strength

Ok, yes but usually local guys who are WSM champions wannabe envy him from the bottom of their souls, but still trying to look suportive.

Nothing like a good old WSM thread for a bit of Sugden bonding.

Shaw was defo injured, hobbled off from the stones and fell over. Ed's stones were really weird, went super slow and took an age to load the last stone.

Perhaps with so much room for him to get it done in, he opted to play it safe and not rush it...Like at Europes where he dropped one.

It looked like that at first, he even paused on the second stone, casually walked to the last etc but then I couldn't see if he actually attempted it and failed then tried again and got it, was hard to see on the video. Might have been cramping but took him an age to load it.

Blood hell. exactly this!

If Thors rep was allowed then Ed would have pulled his finger out on the stones.

Perhaps Thor should be more reflective on missing 1 rep on the squat...In truth that is what lost him WSM not Collin Bryce ffs.

SteBennett I just think there's no need for all the hostility to each other. Strongman use to be a friendly sport. Let's not lose that through social media

This.

I remember wsm 2000 when virtanen won and karlsen who had come second ran out cheering and hugged him as he finished his stone run.

There doesn't seem to be the same camaraderie that there was back in the late 90s and early 00s.

To be fair guys, there's no way ed wouldn't have got another rep on the viking if it was needed. He was knackered but the strength was still there.

Dude did 15 reps at what 180kg viking? 15 reps at 320kg squat and did a piss easy 472.5kg deadlift. He is the worlds strongest man.
