Front hold 25s, 25s. Not the session id planned for, no idea how the hamstring went, id done plenty by then so was well warmed up and moving well. It started to ease half an hour or so later, but no way i was risking keg toss. Will hopefully get to try it out on Friday before Mondays comp. | ||

Strict press 80 * 5, 5, 90 * 3, 3, 100 * 2, 6. Paused cgbp 100 * 5, 5, 120 * 5, 5, 130 * 2, 2. Pressing was decent enough. Leg is very uncomfortable, but no bruising so im confident its nothing more than a pulled muscle. Should hopefully be serviceable for squats on Thursday, though tomorrows SLDL and grip session will need a rethink. | ||

Beltless pendlay rows 100 * 8, 8, 8, 8, 8. 1 finger deadlift, up to 35 * 1. DOH beltless speed deadlifts 180 * 2, 2, 2. This session followed an hour on the massage table. I was broken. Briefly debated skipping it altogether, but manned up and did a bit. 2 days of rest and stretching now before Harwood comp on monday. | ||

Despite feeling fine lately i appear to be falling apart so i will just be doing very light training/active recovery stuff for the next fortnight. I will return to this log in a couple of weeks when i start lifting actual weights again. | ||

Stones Up to 150 * 2. Not a bad first session back, though my conditioning was non-existant after doing virtually nothing for a fortnight. Tried a modified technique on the tyre flip which felt good, though not sure how well it will work on a heavier tyre. First time every trying chain drag, found it pretty hard to get a decent grip, but found a technique that worked on the 3rd set, which coupled with the frame carry had me bringing my breakfast back up. Sure it will be much much easier in another week or 2, and i will start on medley training again next week also. Stones were decent, but it started to drizzle and my low budget tacky simply doesnt work unless its bone dry and hot. Need to get round to buying some good tacky really, and will do so next time stones come up in a comp. | ||

Btn strict press 60 * 3, 3, 70 * 3, 3, 75 * 3, 3, 80 * 3, 3. Triceps Was really feeling it today after yesterdays session, forearms and bis were/are shot to bits. Pressing felt pretty good, ive only ever managed to double 115 so getting a single this early in my comp prep should bode well. Btn work was harder. I dropped some kcals over the last couple weeks since i wasnt training so i started flagging early tonight, a few days of proper eating and id expect my energy levels to stay high for the duration of my sessions. | ||

Fat gripz 1 hand hold from rack 50 * 5s, 5s, 12s. Plate pinch 3 5s * 10s - 3 sets. Biceps Calves Hamstrings Forearms and bis were still feeling it from events, so couldnt push grip much tonight. Looking forward to a rest day tomorrow before legs on Thursday. | ||

Felt really stiff tonight, no idea why, ive been doing my stretches, and had a fairly easy shift at work. Tomorrow is supposed to be heavy deads, but it could get pushed back till Saturday depending on how the move goes. | ||

Rolling thunder up to 85 * 1 - PB. I was in a bad way by i got to training today. 2 days of moving furniture and setting up house had me tired, coupled with only getting 2 or 3 meals a day meant events was always going to be an uphill battle. Yoke was very very slow. Tried a set on 400 after the 320s, but it wasnt happening, only managed a few steps. Tyre felt heavy, but conditioning was a bit better than last week. Farmers werent bad, but nothing to brag about, i was just spent by i got that far. | ||

First session in the home gym tonight. Ended up getting distracted putting the new power rack together and forgot about the 5th set on log. Knees are shot to bits after working on the floor for two days and then yoke. | ||

Took longer than expected to finish sorting the rack and platform out. All done now though, nothing left but a few cosmetic touch ups and they can all wait a while. | ||

First time deadlifting in a couple of weeks and it killed me. Everything was painfully slow. After a brutal week on reduced calories im just way off my game. Starting to get on top of things now though, got all my meals in today, and can almost see the finish line with regards to jobs on the new house. On the bright side, this was my first session using my new texas power bar and it felt great, test it out for squats tomorrow after i break out the new cambered bar. | ||
