I used to be a fan of Shaw when he would his first title but there is just something about him that makes him quite bland to watch, although I watched the thing with Mark Bell yesterday and he came across well on that.
I'm not sure if the events are too heavy this year or the location being so hot and humid has played a big part in the injuries but they need to change things for next year, no one likes to see so many athletes getting injured so badly.

I must be one of the few that like most strongmen.

Never liked Poundstone.

Shaw is great to watch...he is 6ft 8 and weighs the most, that alone makes him good to watch. People love giants! Regular fans tune in at xmas and want strongman to look a certain way and Shaw fits it. Andre the Giant was super popular in wrestling and couldn't do moonsaults off the top rope, he was just BIG!

Z these days has very quality mass, his arms have great separation

u can notice at 165 bodyweight 10 years ago he was puffy, now looks tiny
great quality, very mature dense muscle

i want to mention the incredible core power this man has
look at the squat when he bounces the bar, he doesnt shake like other competitors

about Shaw
i enjoy hate comments
he deserves them

in my opinion when u cant press u cant be considered as a strong all rounder
he has determination and motivation on his side
but its a fact this man cant take loosing like a real man and is a master of excuses

Shaw talking about Arnold events.

Deadlift from regular height...rest the same, unsure if frame carry with straps or not. 5th event mystery so no yoke.

I'm not saying Z is a mess, but it is still a belly. Yes he has good separation in his arms.

I actually think max deadlift from normal height might happen 3x next year.

Arnold's, WSM rotate press and deadlift 1rpm and it is the deadlift's turn, then at deadlift comp/ESM.

The commentator also called Z cocky, which is blasphemous in many countries. Bryce seems to have a hard time replying to his dumb comments.
I agree with Paul Savage that there needs to be more attention paid to the athlete's welfare, even if it compromises the entertainment value of the contest.

Is it more entertaining though? Are people really tuning in to see people fail to lift things an get injured so they do only a few events an then there finished? I would think people are watching to see the guys lift crazy stuff/compete against each other, not fail to lift stuff an get injured so bad they cant compete. 99% of people think 600lb squat is heavy as hell, why make it 700? Doesnt make any sense. Why put them in blistering heat an max humidity? Just makes it look like they are weaker than they are an doing s**te, these guys are all overheated in normal weather.

If they dont change drastically for next year i can see someone getting killed during wsm which i know they wouldnt show but thats probably whats going to happen, hammer droping on head or something. Dizzy from 40 degree heat an max humidity lifting weights that far too heavy is a terrible combination.

Obviously its from something that starts with in + food and big ab muscles as yes his bodyfat cant be overly high with the amount of veins he has.

Poor trolling with the cant press comment. Shaw has won wsm a bunch of times an obviously as can be seen from the heats, he's monster strong overhead.

Just caught up over last night and this morning, but I've yet to watch Z's heat.

Interviewing athletes in-between events (especially at the Brits and Euros over the mic.) is just plain awkward. Makes me cringe so hard.

The commentary has been awful, the patter between Colin and that other guy is just rubbish, they both sound clueless. Terry's been the best speaker so far in my opinion, seems calm and collected and pretty comfortable in front of the camera.

Having said that, im now a big fan of Savatinov; his DB was incredible and he did well on the stones against Thor, didn't realise how short he actually was.

Gutted for Hixxy, I hope he doesn't lose heart as been very unlucky with injuries the past couple of years, would love to see him hit it at 100%, think he'd upset a few people.

Thor's an animal, love watching him compete.

Hope to see someone from Scotland there next year, don't think you could write-off either of the Stoltman brothers next year.

Well I am guessing events and athletes haven't been officially announced going off Shaw's recent video. I guess he doesn't want to come across as he is definitely going when unknown.

I would say he does go, prize money is too good and events suit him.
