A few extra events at the Arnold's as well

''Arnold Strongman “Record Breakers”
On Sunday, March 8 at Noon on the Arnold Fitness EXPO Stage, the organizers of the Arnold Strongman Classic will debut a new event called “Record Breakers” in which athletes will attempt feats of strength that qualify for and will be recognized by Guinness World Records. The events will be judged by a panel of experts known as the Committee for the Study of Human Strength.

The events include:

The One Hand Snatch — The great Mikhail “Misha” Koklyaev will attempt to lift a custom-made, 254-pound bar overhead with one hand in one explosive movement. If successful, the lift will eclipse the 253-pound “one-hand snatch” by the legendary French Olympic Champion Charles Rigoulot set in 1929.

The Thomas Inch Unliftable Dumbbell — In September 2002, six months after winning the inaugural Arnold Strongman Classic, professional wrestler Mark Henry successfully lifted a replica of the famous 172-pound Inch barbell to his shoulder and then over his head using just one hand. Arnold Strongman competitor Mike Burke will have 90 seconds to accomplish the feat twice, thus breaking Henry’s record of one repetition.

The Weight Over Bar — The popular Scottish Highland Games event entails slinging a 56-pound ring-weight between one’s legs and over a bar. The current record, set in September 2014 by Iceland’s Hafthor Bjornsson, is 19 feet, 2 inches. The bar for this competition will begin at 19 feet, 3 inches. Bjornsson and Mike Zolkiewicz will compete.

One-Hand Inch Dumbbell Deadlift — Competitors will be given seven minutes to set a new standard for deadlifting the Inch Dumbbell with one hand. Lifters may alternate hands, if desired. The legendary Odd Haugen, who recently did 65 reps on his 65th birtday, will try to eclipse that mark.''
