He does not cut for competition. His leg strength actually looked good today. I suspect that the 154 cleans were pbs. I know he has caught 160 before but never stood up. His cleans looked pretty easy, I'm sure you'll get him sorted

He can clean deadlift/pull 200 with solid back positioning, but his leg strength lacks in comparison. I think he will mature late as a lifter and as time goes on and he gets stronger, he will do really well.

The 130 was 5kg PB, the 150 was equal pb and the total = 12kg pb. Can't ask for more than that. If we could his maximal strength and up and get him to be able to dominate his lifts like some of the others do I think his clean and jerk would rocket. He is really quick, mobile and has an unreal work capacity.

I will physically shackle him to the bar and make him do it if I have to. To be fair, his squats are some of the lowest I have ever seen and he lifts beltless, so that has something to do with it.

Member 331, 22298 posts SQ 185, BP 100, DL 230 515.0 kgs @ 85kgs UnEq	Now the dust has settled after the big day yesterday, today's 63kg Women has 2 legit medal contenders for England. Sarah Davies and Emily Godley have the joint highest entry totals (not that those mean much as we have seen) but it seems like a tight class overall, a lot of women down on 195-200. Cyprus in the 77 A group at 730 tonight, a school friend of mine, son of our national coach (he isn't there, Viktor Mitrou is). He will be looking to at least hit our world's qualifying standard (also +2kg to Cyprus record) of 291, and if he gets top 6 that is a big plus. Jack Oliver also down to start and in my honest opinion has a shot at a medal if he has a good day.

Glad you are enjoying the updates and I hope everyone else is too!

Classic case of nerves making you want to overdo everything making a mess of things, I know I've certainly done it and then the 3rd time of asking comes out like an actual easy opener. So she is still in there. Looked good for much more. Onwards!
