Original plan was to go above 120 but my right shoulder still sore from squatting (gripping bar too tight probably) so decided to go conservative. The reason I missed 3rd rep@117.5 was entirely my fault. Told the spotter 2 reps then changed my mind, by which time he was taking it. By the time I'd got the message through above the loud music my shoulders were feeling it, with predictable results. Fairly sure it's there for another day. Would have equalled my 3X pb. Incline press hurt my shoulder so stopped. weight 92.2 this morning | ||

OK session. Deadlifting progressing reasonably. Maybe another rep there. If I can get 5 reps@200 in 3 weeks time I'll be satisfied. | ||

Over the next few weeks I hope to equal a few more or even break one or two rep pbs. Weight this morning 92.5. | ||

The main problem was getting there on public transport, as it is in the middle of nowhere. A secondary reason was that if I was going to compete I'd want to do significantly better than last time, which I'm not sure is the case. My aim now is to get back to the kind of lifts I was doing before I moved down to 93. There has been enough progress in the last month or two to think this is now a possibility. | ||

Bd nights sleep (too much drink too little food) so decision to train very last minute. Didn't feel strong. triple at 107.5 was hard so actually quite happy to get a double at 117.5. Couldn't get the bar path right today. hamstrings and lower back still sore from squatting and I have a problem with the very top of my thigh (groin?). Weight this morning a weedy 91.6 | ||
