Warmups for squat felt heavy and slow as s**t so opened 170 and f**king leathered it, resulting in a fail because I popped the bar off my shoulders. Such a t**t. Then went 185, easy then hit 195 and f**king killed it, 200 is there easy. Bench next, no trouble, 110, 120, 127.5 without giving a f**k. Deadlift went 220, 242.5 (just to make a competition pb), then finished on 252.5 which got disallowed for a very slight hitch. Lessons learned: Don't get so over excited on openers; just because you don't feel 100% doesn't mean you won't perform 100%; stick with the 85/92.5/100 system for picking attempts; don't squat as wide as possible; very high volume training works well for me. | ||

**INSERT BACON TAGLINE** Member 3502, 1009 posts SQ 240, BP 157.5, DL 275672.5 kgs @ 110kgs UnEq | Pissed about on the rowing machine and a bike for about 10 minutes each, want to get fitter seen as about all I'm capable of at the minute is waddling up to a squat rack and blasting out a heavy set then I'm gassed for ages. While I'm here: plans/ goals for next few weeks Drop a bit of bodyfat, nothing major. Hopefully a modest strength increase. Improve pullups and dips. Improve abdominal strength Until run up to Scottish unequipped where I'll try to peak, then got an unaffiliated gym meet a few weeks after. After that just train my arse off and try to pack on some for lean mass, might do a strongman comp if convinent. | ||
