I used to and got on well with them, somehow gained the ability to get into a real rack position after I lost weight, but planning going back to these.

I have done but cross grip is still the front runner! How's training going?

That was touch and go so not a pb . Cheers for the kind words! Need to take a week off and get on to a new program

I'm back! Decided to sack 531 and start my next block of programming as I was beginning to suffer an ennui with training.

Never seen this reply, I'm just back training as of last week after about 6 weeks of no lifting at all. Never really got started at all last year, every time I got a good run going a niggle would pop up, then I started hammering the overtime at work nearer the end of the year, and had an operation on my back (Nothing major, just a pilonidal sinus) that rounded the year off nicely! Haha, back training with Darryn again though so that'll push me on. Main goal's to compete at the SFN Expo, name's down for SSM u105 as well.

You planning any strongman this year?

Training plan looks decent, keen to see how you get on with The Russian Masters, I ran it but never completed it due to wo

Glad to hear you're coming out the other end of a utter wa**er of a year for training! Training with Darryn will certainly serve you well. I'm aiming for dominating powerlifting this year - Got my sights set on U23, 105 records in the squat, deadlift and total at both scottish and British level assuming no curveballs from life.

Really want to do strongman, I'm trying to find one a few (ideally, 3-5) weeks after the GBPF northern open so I can actually do strongman training on the run up to a comp for a change. If I do I think that natural strongman fed is doing one in Aberdeen, if not it'll be a novice or a 105.. Maybe even Scotlands strongest junior?

Am I right in saying the Scottish deadlift is 275kg and squat is 250kg? I think I'm looking at the right table haha.

Dave Sanderson (shortandmighty on here) is running the natties, set to be around June time, you'd do well at that if it works in okay with your powerlifting training.

There's 3 qualifiers for the SFN Expo u105 and Results in Aberdeen usually put on a couple of comps throughout the year, looks to be plenty of 105 comps this year!

Yeah, I think so.. Didn't know the squat record went up, I'll still take a crack at taking it! Part of the issue is trying to run a peaking program for the british classic in october-ish time. I want to go down and take a record or 2 there. After I'm not a junior (end of this calendar year) I'll settle for slower progression and do a lot more strongman stuff too and probably work towards trying to win the natties at some point/ do well in other comps.
